I stumbled across this picture and I felt that it was a succinct way of describing my year in a visual format anyway. For me,I’d say that 2015 has been a year of stability so whilst fireworks may not have happened, the fuel to set them off in the coming years were😉 . Yesterday marks a year that I’ve had this blog which is a big thing for me especially considering that I’ve had a blog before that is currently lost in cyberspace somewhere. Having a blog and maintaining it is a big thing...
As some of you may know I recently (kinda, December 1st) turned 21. I debated internally whether I should write a post about it but then I thought, why not? It’s going to be a post of posterity that I can look back on when I turn 30😛 It is no secret that I like to travel and explore and I decided that I definitely wanted to go on holiday for my birthday. My first though was Amsterdam but upon seeking advice from friends I changed my mind. With hindsight I’m so glad that I didn’t go and...

So if you aren’t aware, Dappy from the former group ‘N-Dubz’ released a track and the N word was used. By that I mean ‘N*gger/a’ or whatever silly way people choose to spell it. Now, I’m not here for to hear why it’s acceptable but I will let you know why I feel it’s wrong that he used it on so many levels. First of all however let’s look at the common reasons as to why people say it’s fine for him to say it: Black people use the word on each other so what’s the issue?
Hey! I’ve decided to share more as to why I’m fundraising for the charity’ Dig Deep’. Having been involved with various different charities as a volunteer and in other capacities I decided to find out more about this charity in question. I had heard about them last year at uni but I wasn’t very much aware about what they do. I thought it was a great idea to be able to fundraise whilst also doing what you love. As some of you know I LOVE travelling and climbing Kilimanjaro is a bucket...

My worst fears were confirmed. Life was coming forth from me that I never expected. I didn’t know whether to scream or cry. Nobody else was around, just me in the cubicle. Instead of moping around I washed my hands and stared at the my reflection in the mirror; I was a mess. My life was an even bigger mess. What to do? For starters I’d have to tell him that we were going to be parents much to his displeasure. Where had it all gone so wrong? How had this happened and why me? Nothing serious...
It was 7:30pm but judging by the colour of the sky you would have though it was much later. Perks of the Autumn season. The train was beyond packed and I suddenly began to feel sick. Really sick. I uttered a silent prayer and closed my mouth for dear life because if I opened them I feared what may come out. Drops of condensation dripped down the windows echoing what my face looked like. I needed to get out of this train-and fast. The train was moving ridiculously slow and I feared that I was...

Hey, hope you’ve all been good and that your weekend was blessed. I know mine was😉 Recently I’ve been thinking about myself- and not in a self absorbed way😛 . Rather in a critical light. I’m a firm believer of self appraisal and being aware of your strengths and weaknesses. It’s not enough however to be aware. I mean awareness is great but what are you doing about it?
Heyyy! It’s been ages since I last wrote here lol. Apologies for that. I took some time off and then some. I’m going to talk about my Summer and how interesting it was. Plus I think it’s good to reminisce about especially considering that I start back at university tomorrow! I think it’s fair for me to say that July was the best month for me! Parties after parties and gallivanting everywhere. My weekends were jam packed with fun galore😉 . To be honest my Summer was extremely long. It...

In late June or early July I experienced something I hadn’t before. So, basically my friend and I were at a restaurant and this woman was asking around for money. For one reason or another she was sent out of the restaurant as we too were walking out. She then proceeded to ask me for money/ change which unfortunately I didn’t have. What happened next was unbelievable to be honest with you but I’ll write down the conversation as it happened- the most relevant parts anyway.
Hey all! How is it going? I hope you’ve been good, Today I want to talk about being honest. I don’t know about you but I find it hard to express myself if I’m not happy about something a person is doing. It’s not so much that I am scared but rather that I don’t want to tip the equilibrium. You know what I mean; on the surface everything is good. It’s fair to say that most people are wary of confrontation of any kind. The stress that can come with it may leave us feeling that it’s...
