2020. That's the word. We can all agree that 2020 has been a year like no other! The running theme has been Covid and lockdowns on a global scale. On a personal scale it differs for each individual. I'll share some of my thoughts on this year and what it meant to me. Highlights of 2020 The biggest highlight for me has been growing in confidence and demolishing my comfort zone. After completing my masters I said I want to be doing instagram Lives more. I've mentioned it before (I think) but I...
How has your year been? Great, abysmal or a 'let's not talk about it' kind of year. Either which way you're alive! At least you must be to be reading this so that counts for something right? As usual I am back again with my annual end of your blog post. I've been a bit quiet on this blog and that is because I have been discovering myself offline which will reflect in due time online. So, what were some of the lesson I learnt this year? Hmm. Quite a few but I will try to keep it short and sweet....

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17 (NIV) Iron sharpens iron. If God is indeed our friend and our God, He should be able to sharpen us. Have you watched a video of a blacksmith beating iron into submission? The beating is not meant to cause pain or damage but rather to refine the object. Now, imagine that you are the iron and God is 'beating' you into submission. Painful, right? Thing is, we are not objects but beings with flesh and a heart that beats and...
I don't quite know how to start this post but here goes. I've had the priviledge (and sometimes disadadvantage) of being born into a religious family, Christian in particular. Of course a time comes when you have to know God for yourself and for me that was around the age of 15. Fast forward many years later *werwoejfsdj334* (My poor attempt at the fast forward sign). Age 23 Maybe it was growing up or just being more aware of certain things but I began to really think about church and more...

Hey guys (and girls, just to be politically correct ) something great happened today! Today is the day that I was baptised😀 Of a truth one can say that it is long overdue for me to do it but better late than never. I had an opportunity to do it years ago but I didn’t because I didn’t really know what it actually meant and I didn’t want to just go through the motions of it. Considering the fact that I gave my life to Christ when I was 14 and I’m now 21 it has definitely been a long...
One of the things I’ve always loved about the Bible is that there are different types of women in it. From wives to prostitutes and much more they are all there and I find it beautiful because it shows that there is nobody that God deems ‘unworthy’ of His love and forgiveness. I was reading Genesis 21:10-14 but as I was reading it something struck out to me. Is it fair to say that Hagar was the first single mother in the Bible? What makes it ‘worse’ is that God seemingly allowed it to...

Hey all! So, last week I touched briefly on adoption. Whilst watching the programme I realised something else too. As you well know adoption can happen almost immediately from birth or later on in life. Now I’m not too sure about this but I think it is fair to say that a good amount of people favour adopting babies or very young children. This is understandable I guess. What I realised when watching this is that it somewhat can be akin to how it is when we know God.
You know the feeling when your heart feels weak but not in the medical sense? You literally feel as if your heart will break into a million innumerable pieces. Each piece scattered in all directions from north to south and east to west. It’s as if life has stopped and you are isolated whilst watching everyone else continuing with their own lives. You’re a bystander in this thing called life. Your emotions hold you prisoner with little chance of bail. Yeah. Well I’ve been there. I’ve...

Hey everyone, Happy Mother’s Day! To present, expectant and future (I receive it Amen lool) mothers. So today I want to go back to basics. With some of the conversations I’ve witnessed and the opinions people have discussed there seems to be a recurring theme; love
