a New beginning

Hey guys (and girls, just to be politically correct ) something great happened today! Today is the day that I was baptised😀

Of a truth one can say that it is long overdue for me to do it but better late than never. I had an opportunity to do it years ago but I didn’t because I didn’t really know what it actually meant and I didn’t want to just go through the motions of it. Considering the fact that I gave my life to Christ when I was 14 and I’m now 21 it has definitely been a long time coming but I would encourage others to do it and not to be put off by ‘how long’ they may have left it for.

I won’t even say it has been easy as even up to the last minute challenges arose that really wanted to test my faith but I thank God that I didn’t succumb. I really do feel like I’ve begun a new journey and I’m so excited to see where it will take me. It’s just Him and I and I’m so determined (so help me God) to rely totally and wholeheartedly on Him.

I was in two minds about whether to invite friends and family to the event and I wasn’t too fussed about if anyone came to the ceremony. My church family was there so I more than happy with that and of course God was present.

I guess you could say that this is my (very) public declaration via my blog about the new journey I have embarked on and whenever I may feel discouraged I can always go back to this post😉
